Join Legends of the Cue for an in-depth conversation with Darren “Dynamite” Appleton, one of the most accomplished all-around champions in modern pool and billiards history.
Appleton takes us from his working-class upbringing in Pontefract, England, and his early success in English 8-ball to his bold transition into American pool. He relives winning the WPA World 10-Ball Championship, back-to-back U.S. Open 9-Ball titles, the World 9-Ball Championship, World Games gold, Chinese 8-Ball glory and seven winning Mosconi Cup appearances.
Darren also shares stories about Efren Reyes, Chris Melling, Karl Boyes, Johan Ruijsink, Shane Van Boening and some of the biggest moments of his Hall of Fame career.
The conversation becomes deeply personal as Appleton discusses family loss, his life-threatening 2022 cardiac arrest, recovery and how surviving changed his outlook on competition and life.
A candid, funny and inspiring journey with one of cue sports’ true legends.
