In this unforgettable Legends of the Cue interview, Jorgen Sandman shares the remarkable story of a life devoted to pool, billiards, and cue sports history.
From his childhood in Sundsvall, Sweden, and his first humbling shot at a pool table, to coaching young players, running pool rooms, promoting professional tournaments, and helping build the World Pool-Billiard Association, Jorgen offers a rare inside look at how modern international pool was shaped. He discusses Sweden’s pioneering use of pool tables in schools, the rise of European and Asian players, the early WPA World Championships, Olympic recognition efforts through the World Confederation of Billiards Sports, and the continuing dream of seeing pool in the Olympic Games.
Jorgen also shares deeply personal reflections, including surviving the devastating 2020 Norway landslide.
Hosted by Allison Fisher, Mark Wilson, and Michael Gonzalez, this is essential listening for every pool fan and cue sports historian around the world.
